Even the Ghostbusters can't help us!

Ok, so a few days ago Cooper found a huge spider in his room downstairs that he shares with Matty. This spider looked like bad news. So Andy quickly became a spider expert and with the help of Google identified the spider as a Brown Recluse. Wait, what?! Apparently this spider is trouble. We captured it and froze it because that just seemed right at the time. It's probably ridiculous.

So then we come home tonight, and find 5 more! 5!

We called the authorities and they told us it's not as bad as we think but to be cautious. Tomorrow we're gonna have it taken care of.

Oh, and Coop apparently got bitten by one of the spiders and went through some freakish changes. Here is an updated picture of him...

Stay tuned!

Ummm, those spiders are pretty poisonous.... Check bedsheets and shoes, they like to hide there.

IT"S FAR WORSE THAN YOU THINK! There's a secret history that you're only now discovering...
this begs the question: which came first, Cooper or the spiders?? Archival photo circa 1984:

I have two things to say:
1) I was attacked by 10-15 spiders once that looked frigteningly like the brown recluse. I was bitten on my eyelid (yes my eyelid) and my whole right eye began to swell and get red. However, with simple antibiotics, the symptoms dissappeared.
2) Because of this, I have thoroughly researched this species- a brown recluse is on the same poison level as a black widow, and a single bite can cause extensive and mostly irreversible damage. See for yourself:
http://www.ebaumsworld.com/spiderbite.html
Therefore, I don't think it was possible that I was bitten by a real brown recluse, because I was able to shake the symptoms with motrin and some other medicine. My doctor told me that the spider that bit me was a close relative, but not as dangerous. Brown recluses are scarcely found in this area anyway.

Hopefully you've got the same kind I did. If not, pretend you didn't see the pictures.

on candy striped legs, the spiderman comes
softly through the shadow of the evening sun
stealing past the windows of the blissfully dead
looking for the victim shivering in bed
searching out fear in the gathering gloom and
suddenly! a movement in the corner of the
room!
and there is nothing i can do when i realise with fright
that the spiderman is having me for dinner tonight

When I was attacked by the 10-15 spiders, it was when i was in a rowboat on a pond near the shore, under a low tree branch. They all dropped from the branch into the boat, leaving me with multiple spiders to kill with an oar without smashing a hole in the bottom of the dinghy. It's not like they were hunting me, I don't think.
This is Shea, by the way.
